Work Plan

  • Regular exchange of information with the WG members through newsletter
  • Organization of events (workshops, seminars, tutorials) within the frame of other ISPRS events and with other UAS communities. Currently, the following events are planned:
  • 2017: 4th UAV-g in Bonn, Germany
  • 2019: 5th UAV-g (to be defined)
  • Active participation in the following events:
  • 2018: Commission I mid-term symposium, Karlsruhe, Germany
  • 2018 Commission II mid-term symposium, Italy
  • 2020: ISPRS Congress, Nice, France
  • Maintenance of the working group webpage
  • Maintenance of the existing WG benchmarks
  • Provision of further test data and information about UAS test sites
  • Promotion and organization of special issues and editorial works related to the use of UAS on referenced journals
  • Announcement on the WG webpage of scientific initiatives related to the use of UAS
  • Announcement on the WG webpage of publications in our fields (books, journals, proceedings, paper collections, bibliographic collections etc.), with emphasis on free electronic material
  • Announcement on the webpage of new free software
  • Provision of web accessible related research projects, international regulation efforts and service providers
  • Collection of relevant web links, including related newsgroups, hardware and software companies and first person view (FPV) activities
  • Collection and free access on the WG webpage of proceedings and tutorial notes of ISPRS events
  • Preparation of annual reports for ISPRS, as well as preparation of reports on WG-cosponsored events and WG news to be published in the ISPRS Highlights
