2nd International Conference on “Geomatics and Restoration” - GEORES 2019

Milan (Italy), May 8-10, 2019

The GEORES conference will be an occasion for exploring the needs of the spatial knowledge representation and interoperability for the Cultural Heritage application in a multidisciplinary environment connecting the two worlds of Geomatics and Restoration.

 

CONFERENCE TOPICS

Many interesting topics will be present, among which, the one concerning the WGIV/2 will be:

Standardisation and interoperability in the GEO&RES information: open standards and ontologies for representing the cultural heritage knowledge"

Selected contributions from this topic will be suggested for a dedicated Journal Special Issue.

 

 

GEO&RES CO-WORKING GROUPS: SPECIAL SESSIONS & ORAL SESSIONS  

During the Conference, a set of Special Sessions will be organized in the form of GEO&RES co-working groups.

Co-working groups will discuss specific topics for which the contribution of Geomatics and Restorers is of primary importance. The oral Sessions will be related to the co-working group topics.

 

  

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Extended abstract submission: 11 January 2019
  • Acceptance notification: 8 February 2019
  • Camera ready submission: 15 March 2019
  • Conference: 8-10 May 2019

Accepted articles will be published in the ISPRS International Archives of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences.

 

The GEORES conference is organized as an ISPRS and ICOMOS-CIPA Heritage Documentation event. It is also supported by ISPRS, ICOMOS-CIPA Heritage Documentation, AUTEC, SIRA, SIFET, ICOMOS, EU ERA Chair on DH, UNESCO CHAIR on Digital Cultural Heritage at CUT.
