ISPRS WG I/7

Data Quality and Benchmark of Sensors

Scope

The ISPRS WGI/7 is focusing on investigation of sensor data quality standard, inspection, and control with respect to different application scenarios. Benchmarks are of great interest among ISPRS working groups, and there is a significant increase in the amount and variety of benchmarking activities. The WG I/7’s mission is the development of protocols or guidelines for benchmarking remote sensing sensors systems. The WG will also explore the potential of promoting the development and sharing of Analysis Ready Data (ARD) in line with benchmarking activities for the ISPRS community and general users. Thus, by means of workshops, symposiums, and other hybrid events, the WG advocates different benchmarking actions, promotes their outcomes and impacts, and facilitates broad exchanges among benchmark providers and users. The WG will act in the organization, implementation, and dissemination of benchmarking activities.
