- Organization of workshops on “Web-based education services” in 2017 and 2019, e. g. Joint workshop and summer school organization in Seferihisar, Izmir- Turkey with WG V/3.
- Online hackathon event with teams from different countries, and supplying them the necessary infrastructure to complete projects through a weekend.
- Workshops/summer school during the ISPRS Geospatial Week 2017, Wuhan China
- Additional summer schools and seminars on the topics of the WG
