ISPRS WG V/5
Promotion of the Profession to Young People
Our Mission
ISPRS working group V/5 (former VI/5) aims at promoting the fields of photogrammetry, remote sensing and the spatial information sciences to young people.
The main task of the WG will be guiding the ISPRS Student Consortium (SC) in increasing the recognition level of ISPRS among undergraduate and graduate students as well as young professionals and scientists. The WG will advertise tutorials/workshops for young researchers, and advocate adequate conditions and platforms for the involvement of youth into ISPRS activities. For example, the WG will organize summer schools in cooperation with other ISPRS technical commissions and youth sessions during ISPRS conferences in cooperation with the SC. In addition, the WG will share and exchange information about available academic positions, and thus aid in the international mobility of young scholars.
