General Plan of Activities

  1. Regional Workshops Focused on the WG Terms of Reference
  • Conduct a series of regional workshops aligned with the Working Group's (WG) terms of reference. These workshops will focus on interdisciplinary integration, the use of remote sensing in social sciences, and strategies to address key epistemological issues.
  • Regions targeted will include key areas across the Global South to ensure diverse participation and applicability of methods.

  1. Webinar Series on the WG Terms of Reference
  • Organize a series of webinars to discuss the main topics outlined in the WG's terms of reference. This will include challenges and opportunities in integrating remote sensing with social science research, the 2030 Agenda, and the Paris Agreement.
  • These webinars aim to engage a broader audience and facilitate global participation.
  • Cutting-edge topics to be highlighted include:
  • Promoting Integration to Accelerate the 2030 Agenda Implementatio
  • Supporting the Paris Agreement through Interdisciplinary Perspectives
  • Advancing Mixed Methods Research Using Remote Sensing Data
  • Innovating RS Applications and Methodologies in Social Sciences
  • Standards Development and Policy Implementation
  • Evaluating Remote Sensing Data for Policy Use
  • Assessing Vulnerability in the Global South
  • Increasing EO Adoption through Semi-Transferable Approaches
  • Addressing Data Policies and Privacy Issues
  • Strengthening Cooperation with Key Organizations
